Clinical Research Associate II

Edith Padilla joins Genprex as a Clinical Research Associate II where she provides support with monitoring and site management activities for assigned clinical trials. Edith serves as the main contact for participating sites where she oversees/monitors the protocol and study procedures. She conducts all site management activities involved in site selection, initiation, routine monitoring, and closeout.

Edith brings a wealth of knowledge and dynamic experience from monitoring large portfolios across oncology, genetics, GI/GU, hematology, and neurology. She has successfully led sites to execute protocol requirements and ensure high quality data is collected and patient safety is maintained. Prior to joining Genprex, Edith started her career as a lead clinical research coordinator in genetic research at Proove Biosciences in San Diego, CA. Upon relocating to New York, Edith took a position at Columbia University (Herbert Irving Comprehensive Cancer Center) as a clinical research associate where she managed investigator-Initiated clinical trials. Her most recent experience is with HengRui USA Pharmaceuticals where Edith further developed her career and took on increasing responsibilities in clinical operations, including trial management support. Ms. Gastelum holds a BS in public health with a concentration in research and biostatistics from the University of California, San Diego and is certified as a clinical research professional by the Society of Clinical Research Associates (SOCRA).
